這首歌收錄在趙照2015年的專輯《當你老了》之中，以表達自己對母親的愛意和惦念。歌詞改編自愛爾蘭著名浪漫主義詩人 William Butler Yeats （葉芝）最廣為流傳的詩作之一 “When You Are Old”。Yeats 被公認為是20世紀最偉大的詩人之一。這首詩本是 Yeats 於1983 寫給自己的心上人的，但是，在母情節這天，將這首詩輕輕讀給我們所有人的心上人——母親，也是再合適不過了。
